Psychological First Aid

Essentials & Comprehensive

Psychological First Aid (PFA) is an evidence-informed, compassionate approach designed to support individuals in the immediate aftermath of a crisis, emergency, or traumatic event.

Similar to physical first aid, PFA is not long-term therapy or medical treatment; instead, it provides immediate emotional and practical support to help reduce initial distress and foster adaptive coping.

Built around core action principles Look, Listen, and Link PFA focuses on creating a sense of safety, restoring calm, and connecting individuals to vital resources and social support networks.

By addressing immediate physical and psychological needs without judgment, PFA helps stabilize individuals, empowering them to regain control and build resilience during life's most challenging moments.
